Serving the Poor In addition to creating a space (the cafe) for engaging
in the lives of non-Christians in our area, we are also making efforts to serve the poor in our area. One of the ways
we do this is by receiving donations of school supplies and second hand clothes for distribution to those in need in our area
of influence. Recently, the youth group at our church held an event called 30 Hour Famine during which they distributed
used clothing, baby bottles and 15 back packs filled with school supplies to poor families in our area. We also had
8 back packs filled with school supplies distributed children through Calvary Chapel in Villareal, just east of Tamarindo.
This is just a start for us, and we hope to expand the impact we have in the area. We still have school supplies to
give away, and we recently received a donation of $500 which will be used in this ministry as well.
